The beginning of the rest of my life…

Well, here we are, I finally graduated college. With so much change in the air, from finishing my last few classes (hopefully ever) to having to decide what I’m going to be doing with the rest of my life, the only word I can use to sum up my current sentiment is overwhelmed.

I’ve always been the person who’s believed one day, some amazing talent agency would discover me for all of the groundbreaking skills I have to offer the world.  I’ve sadly realized this dream may not become a reality anymore, so I am thankful my parents forced me to go to college when they did and are now helping me get on my feet post graduation.

Now that my days of laying around scrolling through Instagram and binge watching Netflix are over, I had to start looking at other options besides a miraculous overnight fame success story. My future journey of finding a job I don’t completely hate, going to the gym and reincorporating vegetables into my diet is just getting started, and with that, I’m feeling quite nostalgic about the past 4 1/2 years I’ve spent in school.

As much as I hated the school aspect of school, the freedom you have in college is incomparable to any other time in your life (at least I think so). You can set your schedule to be whatever you want, not have to be anywhere on Mondays or Fridays and for the first time in your life you can be as lazy or outgoing as you want. YOU are the one calling the shots, and sometimes taking them.

As of today, I am fully moved in to my childhood room, with no job, and a semi-plan on what I will be doing the next few months. I’ve purchased 10+ books I will hopefully start reading at some point, hopefully this year. I’ve made a list of potential shows I need to watch before I join the workforce (recommendations are ALWAYS welcome). And now, I’ve started this blog which I am THE MOST excited about.

I plan to talk all things travel, beauty, food, books, shows, movies, and everything pop culture on here, as well as many personal anecdotes to spice things up a bit. I have a passion for cooking and food in general and created a special tab dedicated to that. I also created a tab to list any products I might mention here incase anyone wants to check them out (since I’m obviously a lifestyle expert).

But in all seriousness, I am grateful to anyone and everyone who takes the time to read this blog and I look forward to my future attempts at entertaining you all throughout this journey as a ~super unique~ 23 year old living it up in this crazy world.

Living my best life,

  1. I graduated college in 2014 and looking back, I had no idea how easy I had it! Isn’t it always that way? Just know you’re not alone in this transition period and there are so many amazing things that come after college! I’ll be cheering you on!
